Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Construction Site Manager to oversee on-site operations at multiple sites around Pretoria. The role combines on-site leadership with remote project administration to ensure safety, quality, and timely delivery.

Ideal candidates will have a National Diploma or Bachelor's in Construction Management and at least five years of site supervision experience, with a proven ability to coordinate labour, resources, and stakeholders effectively.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in site management or supervisory role in construction.
• Proven track record of safely and efficiently managing construction sites.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct all on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance.
• Develop and implement site-specific safety plans per regulations.
• Manage site logistics including material delivery and equipment usage.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, architects and engineers.
• Conduct regular site inspections, quality checks, and progress reporting.
• Resolve on-site issues promptly to minimize delays and costs.
