Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Remote Construction Foreman to oversee and coordinate remote projects, primarily around Bloemfontein, with the on-site team. You will drive safety, quality, and progress through digital collaboration tools, bridging management and field execution.

This remote role requires strong leadership, site supervision experience, and a proactive approach to distance management while delivering outcomes for projects in the Free State region.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Construction Foreman or similar supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes and best practices.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Proficiency with digital communication tools and project management software.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and specs accurately.
• Commitment to safety and quality while managing remote teams.

Responsibilities

• Remotely supervise and coordinate daily construction activities.
• Conduct virtual site inspections and quality checks.
• Ensure health and safety regulations compliance and report hazards.
• Communicate with on-site teams, subcontractors, and project managers via digital channels.
• Manage allocation of labor and equipment and report on resource status.
• Maintain records of work performed and progress.
