Job summary

Placements24 in Centurion is seeking a proactive Site Engineer to oversee construction activities, combining on-site supervision with remote planning. The role focuses on safety, quality, and timely delivery of infrastructure projects in Gauteng.

The ideal candidate will have a Civil Engineering degree, at least 3 years of site experience, and strong drawing interpretation, communication, and problem-solving skills to balance hands-on work with remote coordination.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Min 3 years' site engineering or similar construction experience.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage day-to-day construction activities on site.
• Conduct quality control checks to ensure high standards.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel.
• Prepare daily site reports covering progress and safety.
• Review drawings and specs to ensure correct on-site implementation.
• Manage site logistics, materials, equipment and safety procedures.
