Job summary

AECOM in Pretoria seeks a dynamic Senior Construction Manager to lead high-value commercial development projects. You will oversee procurement, site management, safety, quality and on-time delivery while coordinating diverse teams and stakeholders in Gauteng.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Construction Management or Civil Engineering and at least 10–12 years of experience in commercial projects, with strong leadership, BIM coordination, and a track record of driving projects to completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 12+ years in construction management, with focus on commercial projects.
• Proven ability to manage multiple large-scale projects.
• Proficient in construction management software and project planning tools.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, zoning and safety standards.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage all construction operations from inception to completion.
• Develop and implement project plans with schedules, budgets and resources.
• Oversee site personnel, subcontractors and suppliers for efficiency.
• Enforce safety protocols and QA/QC measures on site.
• Manage risks, resolve conflicts and oversee change management.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants and regulators for alignment.
