Qualifications

• A relevant qualification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., SAMTRAC, NEBOSH) is essential.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Safety Officer in the construction industry.
• Thorough knowledge of South African OHS Act and relevant construction safety regulations.
• Experience in conducting safety inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive health and safety plans for construction sites in Mahikeng .
• Conduct regular site safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, preparing detailed reports and recommending corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs to all site personnel, including toolbox talks and inductions.
