Placements24 is seeking a vigilant Construction Safety Officer to safeguard Welkom construction sites. You will implement and enforce safety protocols, conduct inspections, and mitigate risks to protect workers.

The role requires knowledge of the OHS Act and SA safety standards, experience in the construction industry, and the ability to train staff and prepare detailed incident reports.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Safety Officer in the construction industry.
• In-depth knowledge of OHS Act and South African safety legislation.
• Certification such as NOSA or NEBOSH is highly desirable.
• Excellent observational skills and attention to detail for hazard identification.
• Strong communication and training abilities to convey safety information.
• Ability to conduct thorough investigations and prepare detailed reports.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain safety management plans for construction projects.
