Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a vigilant Construction Safety Officer to develop, implement, and enforce safety policies across Paarl construction sites. You will conduct site inspections, hazard assessments, and safety training to minimize risks and ensure regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has NEBOSH or SAMTRAC, at least 3 years in construction safety, strong auditing and reporting skills, and excellent communication to engage staff at all levels.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, SAMTRAC).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Safety Officer in the construction industry.
• In-depth knowledge of construction safety regulations and best practices.
• Strong auditing, reporting, and incident investigation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with all levels of staff.
• Proficiency in relevant safety management systems and software.
