Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Safety Officer to oversee health and safety across construction sites in Tembisa, Gauteng. You will develop, implement, and enforce H&S policies, conduct risk assessments, audits, inductions, and incident investigations to promote a proactive safety culture.

Qualifications

• A relevant qualification in Occupational Health and Safety is required (e.g., NEBOSH, SAMTRAC, NOSA).
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Safety Officer in construction.
• In-depth knowledge of the OHS Act and regulations.
• Experience conducting risk assessments, site inspections, and investigations.
• Strong understanding of construction hazards and control measures.
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in MS Office and related software.
• Valid driver's license.

About the Role

Our client, a prominent contractor involved in various construction projects, is seeking a dedicated and vigilant Safety Officer to ensure a safe working environment across their sites in Tembisa, Gauteng . This critical role is responsible for developing, implementing, and enforcing comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures on construction sites.
