Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Construction Project Manager to oversee commercial and residential developments in the Paarl region from planning through handover. You will lead site teams, coordinate subcontractors, manage budgets, ensure safety and quality, and sustain strong client relationships.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in construction, SACPCMP registration, 7+ years of PM experience, and strong knowledge of codes and tools (MS Project, Primavera P6, Procore).

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Professional registration (e.g., SACPCMP) is advantageous.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in construction project management.
• Proven track record managing commercial and/or residential construction projects from start to finish.
• Knowledge of construction processes, building codes and safety regulations.

About the Role

Our client, a leading construction company with a strong presence in the **Western Cape**, is seeking a highly skilled and results-oriented Construction Project Manager to oversee a diverse portfolio of commercial and residential developments in the **Paarl** region. This critical role requires a professional with extensive experience in managing all phases of construction projects, from planning and design through to completion and handover. The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while maintaining a safe and productive work environment. Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all aspects of construction projects, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and schedule.
• Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
• Coordinate and supervise site operations, including managing construction crews, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations on site.
• Monitor project progress, conduct regular site inspections, and identify and resolve potential issues proactively.

• Maintain effective communication with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management.

• Oversee the closeout process, including punch list completion and final documentation.

Requirements
