Placements24 is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee major construction and development initiatives from design to handover at our Centurion HQ in Gauteng. You will coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors and clients to deliver on time, within budget and to high quality standards.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture or related field, 8+ years' experience, and a proven track record delivering complex commercial

About the Role

Our client, a prominent real estate developer renowned for its innovative and high-quality projects, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to oversee major construction and development initiatives. This role is critical to the successful execution of our ambitious expansion plans and will involve managing projects from the initial design phase through to final completion and handover. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction project management, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and clients. This position is based at our headquarters in Centurion, Gauteng , a central location offering excellent connectivity and a thriving business environment. Key Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of construction projects, from planning and design to execution and closeout.
• Develop detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors to ensure project requirements are met.
• Oversee site operations, ensuring adherence to safety regulations, quality standards, and building codes.
• Manage project procurement, including tendering processes and contract negotiations.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or delays, and implement corrective actions.
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders, providing regular progress reports and managing expectations.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant permits, licenses, and regulatory approvals.
• Manage project finances, including invoice approval, cost control, and financial reporting.
• Conduct site inspections and quality assurance checks throughout the construction process.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in managing construction and development projects.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex commercial and/or residential building projects.
• In‑depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Strong understanding of contract management and negotiation.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6) and CAD software is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
• Strong financial acumen and experience managing project budgets.
• Based in or willing to relocate to the Centurion, Gauteng area.
