Placements24 is seeking a Construction Project Coordinator to support the project management team for residential developments in Paarl, Western Cape. The role involves planning, scheduling, procurement support and on-site coordination to ensure on-time delivery and quality.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in a related role, a relevant degree, and strong organisation and communication skills. The position offers hybrid work and travel to sites in and around Paarl.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with project management software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers in developing and maintaining project schedules and milestones.
• Support procurement: sourcing suppliers, obtaining quotes, contractor docs.
• Coordinate site activities and ensure permits/approvals are in place.
• Assist in budget management, expense tracking, and invoicing.
• Prepare project documentation, reports and meeting minutes.
• Conduct site visits, report progress and issues to the PM.
• Ensure health, safety and environmental regulations on sites.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers in developing and maintaining project schedules, including tracking milestones and deadlines.

• Assist in budget management, tracking expenses, and processing invoices.

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on construction sites.
• Communicate effectively with site teams, contractors, and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a project coordination or administrative role, preferably within the construction or property development industry.
• Basic understanding of construction terminology, processes, and residential building standards.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with project management software is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.
