Placements24 is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager for on-site leadership in the Paarl area of the Western Cape. You will oversee pre-construction planning through handover, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

You will coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers, manage schedules and costs, and enforce quality control and safety standards across commercial and industrial projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in construction project management, with commercial/industrial sector focus.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on time.

Responsibilities

About the Role

Our client, a dynamic and growing construction company with a strong track record in the Paarl, Western Cape area, is looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager. This role is integral to the successful delivery of a diverse range of commercial and industrial construction projects. You will be responsible for overseeing all phases of the construction process, from pre-construction planning and design coordination through to project completion and handover. Key aspects of the role include budget management, schedule adherence, quality control, safety compliance, and effective stakeholder communication. • Experience with contract administration and understanding of various contract types (e.g., JBCC).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
• Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making capabilities.
• Must be willing to work full-time on-site in the Paarl area.
