Job summary

N H Human Resources Consulting Pty Ltd is seeking an Estimator for a full-time, on-site role in Free State, South Africa. You will analyze plans, prepare cost estimates for materials, labour and equipment, and review tender documents with suppliers and subcontractors.

You will work with project managers to clarify scope and risks, maintain pricing databases, and support post-tender negotiations. Strong SA market knowledge is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and numerical skills to interpret drawings, specs and project docs.
• Proficiency in estimating software and standard office tools (spreadsheets, word processing).
• Experience in estimating within construction or engineering; knowledge of materials/labour rates.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for internal/external collaboration.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously.
• Formal qualification in quantity surveying, construction management or engineering preferred.
• Familiarity with tender processes and contract documents; SA experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Analyze project plans, specs and docs to prepare cost estimates.
