Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Construction Estimator to join our client’s team in Benoni, Gauteng. You will develop comprehensive cost breakdowns for varied construction projects from bid to proposal, applying knowledge of construction methods, materials, labor costs, and subcontractor pricing.

Key responsibilities include reviewing plans, quantifying materials, obtaining quotes, and presenting cost findings to management while cultivating relationships with clients and suppliers to stay

Qualifications

• Experience in estimating construction projects.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Ability to read architectural and engineering drawings.
• Proficiency with estimating software and MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Quantify materials, labor, and equipment for each project.
• Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Prepare bid proposals and present cost findings to management.
• Maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors to gather market information.
