Placements24 seeks a dedicated HR Specialist focusing on Compensation and Benefits to join our Pietermaritzburg team. You will design, implement, and administer compensation and benefits programs aligned with strategic goals and market benchmarks.

You will conduct salary benchmarking, develop job grading structures, and ensure compliance with SA labor laws. The role requires analytical rigor, strong Excel skills, and collaboration with the HR team.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of HR experience with a focus on compensation and benefits.
• Experience in salary benchmarking, job evaluation, and benefits administration.
• Strong understanding of South African labor laws related to compensation and benefits.
• Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced level) and HRIS systems.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement funds, and other perquisites.

• Process payroll changes, including new hires, terminations, and salary adjustments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in HR, with a specialization in Compensation and Benefits.
• Proven experience in salary benchmarking, job evaluation, and benefits administration.
• Strong understanding of South African labor laws related to compensation and benefits.
• Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced level) and HRIS systems.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Experience in managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
