Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Project Officer to lead planning, execution, and monitoring of social welfare projects in Port Elizabeth and the Eastern Cape. You will collaborate with communities, partners, and internal teams to deliver impact on vulnerable individuals and families.

Responsibilities include budgeting, data reporting, risk management, and ensuring alignment with organizational guidelines. A proactive, justice-driven approach is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Development Studies, Public Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of project management or coordination experience in social sector.
• Strong understanding of social welfare issues and community development.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and monitor social welfare projects from initiation to completion.
• Coordinate project activities, ensuring timely delivery of outputs and achievement of objectives.
• Liaise with project stakeholders, including beneficiaries, community leaders, and partner organizations.
• Manage project resources, including budgets and personnel, ensuring efficient utilization.
• Collect and analyze project data, preparing regular progress reports for management and donors.
• Identify potential project risks and challenges, and develop mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and project guidelines.
