Job summary

Placements24 seeks a dedicated Social Program Officer to lead and manage community-focused programs in Richards Bay. You will oversee planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation to ensure services meet community needs and organizational goals.

You will work with beneficiaries, partners, and local authorities to build sustainable programs, manage budgets, report on outcomes, and drive positive change.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in social program management or related field.
• Understanding of community development principles and practices.
• Strong project management skills: planning, execution, and monitoring.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation abilities.
• Proficiency in data collection and analysis for program evaluation.
• A relevant degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and manage social programs aligned with organizational goals and community needs.
• Monitor program activities, track progress, and collect data for reporting and evaluation.
• Develop and maintain relationships with community partners, local authorities, and service providers.
• Ensure efficient allocation and utilization of program resources and budgets.
• Identify challenges and opportunities within program delivery and propose solutions.
• Prepare regular program reports for internal and external stakeholders.
