Responsibilities include needs assessments, facilitating access to social services and programs, and coordinating with NGOs and government bodies.

Qualifications

• A Grade 12 certificate or equivalent is required.
• Certificate or diploma in Social Auxiliary Work or related field is advantageous.
• Experience in social support or community service is beneficial.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with diverse backgrounds.
• Demonstrated empathy, patience, and willingness to help others.
• Basic understanding of community resources and social welfare systems.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Identify individuals and families requiring social support and conduct initial needs assessments.
• Provide practical assistance and guidance on accessing social services, financial aid, and community programs.
• Facilitate access to resources such as food banks, housing assistance, and educational opportunities.
• Offer emotional support and companionship to clients, helping them feel connected and valued.
• Collaborate with local NGOs, government agencies, and community leaders to coordinate support efforts.
