Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a social work, counseling, or community support role.
• Strong understanding of social issues, mental health, and family dynamics.
• Excellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience in case management and resource coordination.
• Familiarity with the Paarl community and its resources is a plus.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.
• Must be able to work a hybrid schedule, balancing office and community-based work.

Responsibilities

• Conduct needs assessments for individuals and families seeking support.
• Develop and implement personalized support plans tailored to client needs.
• Connect clients with community resources, including social services, housing assistance, and employment support.
• Provide emotional support and counseling to clients.
• Facilitate group sessions and workshops on relevant topics (e.g., parenting, stress management).
• Maintain confidential client records and track progress.
