Job summary

Placements24 in Gauteng seeks a part-time Recreation Program Coordinator to design and manage diverse community programs in Tembisa. You will recruit and train volunteers, oversee budgets, and collaborate with local partners to ensure safe, inclusive, and engaging activities for all age groups.

You will report to the community team and contribute to program evaluation, marketing, and documentation while supporting a flexible work schedule that may include evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Recreation Management or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years' program planning and coordination experience.
• Ability to plan and execute events successfully.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and community engagement abilities.
• Basic budgeting and financial management competency.
• Experience recruiting and managing volunteers is a plus.
• Knowledge of Gauteng community needs.
• First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
