Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an innovative and experienced Recreation Program Director to develop, implement, and manage a wide array of recreational programs for diverse age groups in Randburg. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Recreation Management, Parks and Recreation, Leisure Studies, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in program development and management within a recreation setting.
• Proven leadership and staff management abilities.
• Strong understanding of recreational best practices and community needs assessment.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with budget management and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement diverse recreational programs across various age groups and interests.
• Manage the overall budget for recreational programming, ensuring fiscal responsibility and effective resource allocation.
• Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate recreation staff and volunteers.
• Ensure all programs adhere to safety standards, policies, and legal requirements.
• Assess community needs and interests to continuously improve and expand program offerings.
• Promote recreational programs through various marketing channels to maximize participation.
