Placements24 seeks an enthusiastic Recreation Program Director to develop, manage, and implement a diverse range of community recreation activities in Vereeniging. You will lead a team, manage budgets, ensure safety, and promote programs to engage residents across age groups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Recreation Management, Leisure Studies, Sports Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in program development and management.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
• Experience in staff supervision and volunteer coordination.
• Certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and execute a comprehensive schedule of recreational programs, events, and activities.
• Recruit, train, and supervise a team of program coordinators, instructors, and volunteers.
• Manage program budgets, including resource allocation, fee collection, and expense tracking.
• Ensure the safety and quality of all programs, adhering to established guidelines and best practices.
• Promote recreational opportunities through various marketing and outreach channels.
• Evaluate program effectiveness and participant feedback to make continuous improvements.
• Maintain positive relationships with community partners, schools, and local organizations.
