Placements24 is seeking a passionate Community Program Facilitator in Upington, Northern Cape to design and deliver workshops and training that empower local residents. The role blends remote preparation with on-site delivery, requiring strong facilitation and adult-learning skills and a collaborative approach with community leaders and partner organizations.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Adult Education, Community Development, Social Work or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of workshop/training facilitation experience in community settings.
• Proven curriculum development and program delivery experience.
• Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage and motivate diverse groups of adult learners.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency with basic office software and virtual communication platforms.
• Positive attitude and passion for empowering communities.
• Ability to work in a hybrid model (remote prep and on-site delivery).
• Understanding of the socio-economic context of Upington/Northern Cape.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver engaging workshops and community programs.
• Facilitate group discussions and activities for skill development and knowledge sharing.
• Assess community needs to inform content and delivery methods.
• Build and maintain relationships with community members and partners.
• Manage logistics including scheduling, venues and materials.
• Provide ongoing support to program participants.
• Collect feedback to evaluate effectiveness and identify improvements.
