Qualifikationen

• Diploma or Degree in Community Development, Social Work, Adult Education, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in community facilitation, development work, or empowerment programs.
• Experience in participatory development processes and project implementation.
• Strong understanding of community empowerment principles and methodologies.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently in community settings.
• Proficiency in data collection, basic analysis, and report writing.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the Upington region.
• A passion for empowering communities and fostering sustainable development.

Aufgaben

• Conduct participatory needs assessments to identify community needs, assets, and empowerment priorities.
• Facilitate the planning and implementation of community-led projects focused on economic development, social improvement, and skill-building.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with community members, local leaders, and relevant organizations in the Upington area.
• Provide training and mentorship to community members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
• Monitor project progress, document key activities and outcomes, and prepare regular reports.
