Job summary

Placements24 seeks a proactive Community Care Officer to serve the Tembisa community by coordinating social services, assessing needs, and connecting residents with housing, health, and employment resources.

You will build relationships with local organizations and government bodies to improve service delivery, advocate for residents, and promote community resilience and well-being through dedicated support.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Social Work, Community Development, or related field.
• At least two years in community outreach or social services.
• Understanding of social/economic challenges in Tembisa.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong networking and relationship-building abilities.
• Proficiency in standard office software and data management.

Responsibilities

• Assess needs of individuals and families; identify barriers to services.

About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive and organized Community Care Officer to serve the Tembisa community. In this vital role, you will be the primary point of contact for residents seeking assistance with social services, community programs, and local support initiatives. Your responsibilities will include assessing needs, coordinating services, and empowering community members to access available resources effectively. Key Responsibilities
