Qualifications

• Experience in community work, social services, advocacy, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of social issues and resources in the Northern Cape region.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills.
• Ability to build rapport and trust with diverse populations.
• Proven ability to work independently and conduct outreach effectively.
• Familiarity with local government services, NGOs, and community support structures in Kimberley.
• Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and client needs.

• Ability to work effectively within a project-based, contractual framework.

Responsibilities

• Conduct outreach activities to identify individuals and families in need of support.
• Provide information and guidance on accessing local services, rights, and entitlements.
• Assist clients in navigating complex systems, such as government agencies or legal processes.
• Connect individuals with relevant community resources, including healthcare, housing, and employment services.
• Organize and facilitate community information sessions and workshops.
• Build relationships with community leaders, local organizations, and service providers in Kimberley.
• Advocate on behalf of clients to ensure their needs are met and their rights are upheld.
• Collect data on community needs and service gaps to inform program development.
• Prepare reports on advocacy activities and outcomes.
