Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in construction management, focused on commercial projects.
• Experience managing projects with budgets over R100 million.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, codes, and regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of commercial construction projects from planning to execution.

We are seeking an accomplished Commercial Construction Manager to lead key projects from our Midrand office. This senior role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in managing large-scale commercial construction projects, encompassing everything from pre-construction planning to project close-out. You will be responsible for financial oversight, team leadership, stakeholder management, and ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and within budget. The ideal candidate is a seasoned leader with extensive experience in commercial construction.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of commercial construction projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution.
• Manage project teams, including site staff, subcontractors, and consultants, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Develop and implement project management plans, ensuring alignment with client objectives and company standards.
• Control project costs, monitor expenditures, and manage financial reporting to stakeholders.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations and quality control standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., "MS Project, Primavera") and financial management tools.
• Strong understanding of contract administration and risk management.
