Job summary

Accenture South Africa is seeking an experienced IT developer to design, code and test applications within the BAS Architecture and provide production support for a specific application or group of applications.

You will analyze problems, fix data integrity issues, ensure changes pass testing and release via change control, and prepare documentation. The role requires at least 2 years of development experience and knowledge of IBM Mainframe technologies (MVS/CICS/JCL) and COBOL.

Qualifications

• IBM Mainframe / MVS / CICS / JCL knowledge required.
• Proficient in COBOL; familiarity with .Net/ Java /Python/CSharp is a plus.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide production support for a specific application or group of applications.
• Analyze code issues, fix problems, test, and release to production per SLA.
• Ensure change control documentation is completed and signed off.
• Develop and test modules from design specifications.
• Maintain data integrity and resolve data fix issues.
• Document work per standards and support testing teams.
