Job summary

Boardroom Appointments is seeking a senior Mainframe Developer in Johannesburg, South Africa. You will translate business requirements into technical specifications, design and code mainframe solutions, and support production in a 24x7 on-call environment.

The role requires at least 5 years of COBOL, JCL and DB2 experience, with familiarity in REMEDY, JIRA, Confluence and ISPW. Agile practices and DevOps tooling are part of the development lifecycle.

Job description

• Minimum 5 years Broad experience in translating business and functional requirements into technical specifications and developing the programming code to create the solutions.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in Mainframe ,COBOL Programming, Job Control Language (JCL), DB2 database and Knowledge around mainframe batch scheduling and processing.
• Knowledge of Toolsets: REMEDY, JIRA, Confluence, ISPW an advantage
• Availability to do callout in 24 x 7 environment
