Job summary

Accenture seeks a capable mainframe developer to design, code and test programs within the BAS architecture. You will provide production support, ensure data integrity, and participate in change control and documentation processes.

The role requires COBOL and at least 2 years of development experience, with exposure to CICS/MVS and SQL. You will collaborate with teams to verify changes, assist with testing, and drive quality outcomes while maintaining adherence to SLAs and documentation

Qualifications

• Formal IT training required.
• Minimum 2 years development experience.
• Experience with IBM Mainframe environments preferred.
• Proficiency in COBOL and modern languages is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills and teamwork are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide production support for a specific application or group of applications.
• Analyze, code and test simple to moderate modules from design specifications.
• Ensure data integrity and proper data fixes.
• Document work following current standards and sign-offs.
• Support testing teams during validation of changes.
• Monitor code changes to avoid production comebacks.
