Placements24 is seeking an experienced Cloud Solutions Architect specializing in AWS to join our technology team in Upington. This hybrid role focuses on designing, implementing, and managing scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions.

You will collaborate with engineering and business teams to translate needs into robust architectures, mentor teammates, and drive best practices in cloud adoption across the Northern Cape.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
• 5+ years designing, deploying, and managing complex cloud solutions with a strong focus on AWS.
• Proven expertise in AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, Lambda, IAM, and CloudFormation.
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and data management principles in a cloud context.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect comprehensive cloud solutions on AWS, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical requirements.
• Lead the implementation of cloud infrastructure, services, and applications, focusing on scalability, security, and high availability.
