About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and visionary Senior Cloud Solutions Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable cloud infrastructure in Richards Bay . This strategic position requires an individual with deep expertise in cloud technologies to architect robust, secure, and cost-effective solutions that meet complex business requirements. You will work closely with engineering, product, and business teams to translate needs into actionable architectural blueprints, driving innovation and ensuring the long-term success of our client's cloud strategy. This is a key role for an experienced architect ready to shape the future of technology within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect end-to-end cloud solutions across multiple cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Develop technical strategies and roadmaps for cloud adoption, migration, and optimization.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure the successful implementation of architectural designs, providing technical guidance and oversight.
• Define and enforce cloud governance , security standards, and best practices to ensure compliance and protect assets.
• Evaluate new cloud technologies and services to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
• Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, communicating complex technical concepts clearly and effectively.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, with a minimum of 5 years focused on cloud architecture and design.
• Proven expertise in designing and deploying solutions on major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, compute, storage, and database services.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
