Placements24 in Randburg, Gauteng seeks an Information Security Specialist focused on Cloud Security to join a dynamic tech-enabled team. You will design, implement and manage cloud security controls across AWS, Azure and GCP, and drive secure cloud adoption.

Ideal candidates bring a Bachelor’s in CS/IT/Cybersecurity and a minimum of 3 years in information security with a cloud specialization, plus hands-on experience with IAM, encryption, monitoring and incident response in cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in information security with cloud focus.
• Proven experience securing cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Strong knowledge of IAM, network security, data encryption and cloud monitoring.
• Familiarity with cloud security tools and compliance requirements.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Relevant cloud security certifications are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and manage security controls for cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Monitor cloud infrastructure for security threats and anomalies.
• Conduct security assessments and vulnerability management for cloud deployments.
• Develop and enforce cloud security policies and procedures.
• Respond to and investigate cloud security incidents.
• Provide guidance on secure cloud adoption and data protection in the cloud.
• Collaborate with cloud engineering teams on secure design and deployment.
