Placements24 in Midrand, Gauteng, ZA, seeks a Cybersecurity Engineer focused on cloud security to design, implement and maintain secure cloud environments, protecting data and infrastructure.

You will collaborate with engineering and operations to embed security into cloud architectures and development lifecycles, applying IAM, network security, encryption, and threat detection across AWS, Azure and GCP environments.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on cloud security.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong understanding of IAM, network security, data protection and container security.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, Bash).
• Knowledge of IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation is a plus.
• Familiarity with CIS Benchmarks, NIST standards.

Mansioni

• Design, implement, and manage security controls for cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Develop and enforce cloud security policies, standards, and best practices.
• Configure and monitor cloud security services (IAM, SGs, encryption, threat detection).
• Conduct security assessments and penetration tests of cloud infrastructure and apps.
• Respond to cloud security incidents and perform forensic analysis and remediation.
• Collaborate with development/ops to embed DevSecOps in CI/CD pipelines.
• Automate security tasks and workflows with scripting and cloud-native tools.
• Evaluate and recommend new cloud security technologies and solutions.
• Ensure compliance with security regulations and standards in cloud deployments.
• Provide expert guidance on cloud security best practices to stakeholders.
