Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a specialized Cyber Security Specialist with a focus on Cloud Security to join our technology team in Nelspruit. You will design, implement, and maintain cloud security controls across AWS, Azure, and GCP.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in CS or InfoSec, at least five years in cyber security with three in cloud security, and proven experience securing major cloud platforms. Hybrid work and ongoing certification support are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cyber security, with at least 3 years focused on cloud security.
• Proven experience securing major cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage security solutions for cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Develop and enforce cloud security policies, standards, and best practices.
• Monitor cloud infrastructure for security threats and vulnerabilities, responding promptly to incidents.
• Conduct security assessments and audits of cloud deployments, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to integrate security into cloud CI/CD pipelines.
• Provide expertise on cloud security technologies, such as identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and network security groups.
