About the Role

Our client is looking for an innovative and experienced Cloud Security Architect to design and implement secure cloud environments in Nelspruit . This role is central to defining the security strategy and architecture for cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), ensuring that cloud deployments are secure, compliant, and resilient. You will work closely with engineering and operations teams to embed security best practices throughout the cloud lifecycle, from design to deployment and operation. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of cloud technologies and security principles, enabling them to build robust, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure cloud architectures and solutions across major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Develop and enforce cloud security policies, standards, and best practices, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
• Implement and manage security controls for cloud environments, including identity and access management (IAM), network security, data encryption, and threat detection.
• Conduct security assessments and risk analyses of cloud deployments and applications.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes.
• Respond to security incidents within the cloud environment and develop robust incident response plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
