Placements24 is seeking an Information Security Engineer specializing in cloud technologies to join our client in Kimberley, Northern Cape. You will defend cloud infrastructure, implement and optimize security controls, and respond to incidents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, Cybersecurity or related field.
• 3–5 years in information security with cloud focus.
• Hands-on with AWS or Azure and scripting for automation.
• Experience with containers and CI/CD security practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and manage cloud security controls (IAM, WAF, Security Groups).
• Monitor cloud environments for threats, vulnerabilities and compliance gaps.
• Automate security processes using IaC tools.
• Conduct security assessments and cloud penetration testing.
• Develop and maintain cloud security policies and procedures.
• Respond to security incidents in the cloud and perform containment.
• Collaborate with DevOps to secure CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage logging and monitoring in the cloud.
• Ensure regulatory and industry security standards are met.
• Provide guidance on cloud security best practices.
