Job summary

Netcare invites applications for a Hospital Based Academic Staff (HBAS) role in the nursing education unit. The incumbent will facilitate teaching and learning in the clinical hospital ward environment, support evaluation and student progress, and establish partnerships between hospital clinical teams and Netcare Education to drive ongoing professional development.

The role emphasizes quality improvement, research involvement, accreditation activities, and the delivery of evidence-based nursing

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with an education qualification and active SANC registration.
• Academic teaching experience in a hospital/academic setting preferred.
• Strong IT skills and ability to use LMS and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate teaching and learning in clinical nursing environments.
• Coordinate WIL placements, monitor student hours and assessments.
• Develop and review evaluation and educational strategies.
• Oversee academic projects and ensure quality assurance.
• Support Netcare Education partnerships and continuous development.
