Job summary

IQVIA is seeking a Data Acquisition Specialist - External Data (Remote/Homebased) to define, set up and ingest external data streams for clinical trials, including labs, ECG, imaging and other digital sources.

You will liaise with data stakeholders to establish data transfer needs, develop trial-specific data transfer agreements, and ensure compliant, timely data delivery across regions. UAT and ongoing monitoring are key responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in Computer Science.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience managing data in clinical research.
• Experience with external data sources (e.g., Safety Lab, PK, ECG).
• Experience developing data transfer agreements.
• Experience working on clinical trials in diverse, cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of SDTM and GCP/ICH guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Define, set up and ingest External Data Streams per protocol.
• Liaise with data stakeholders to specify data transfer and structure.
• Create change requests for new data concepts or structures.
• Develop trial-specific data transfer agreements (tsDTA).
• Ensure appropriate data transfer frequencies for reviews and reporting.
• Coordinate with external data providers and ensure tsDTA alignment.
• Translate domain concepts into data mapping guidance for programmers.
• Perform UAT of test data transfers against Data Transfer Agreements.
• Implement data transfer mechanisms into the clinical data repository (CDR).
• Monitor data stream availability and resolve data transfer issues.
