Medipost in Pretoria is seeking a Warehouse Replenisher to manage replenishment, stock rotation and expiry controls in the pharmaceutical warehouse. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to SOPs, and accurate stock handling in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Replenishment from Bulk area to Picking bins.
  • Attend to expiry date management and stock rotation (FEFO/FIFO).
  • Ensure shelves and bins are clean, labeled, and scanned correctly.
  • Report stock problems to line manager and procurement as needed.
  • Perform stock takes and ad hoc tasks within deadlines.

Job description

1.Picking Replenishing
  • Replenishment from Bulk area to Picking bins
  • Clearing quarantine area regularly to ensure all bulk stock is packed neatly in the warehouse
  • Ensure that when fridge items are taken from the bulk fridge, the FRIDGE LINE sticker is applied onto all items before replenishing the fridge
2. Shelf allocation:
  • The line manager is responsible to compile a monthly roster and allocate shelves to each Replenisher
  • Replenishers must take full responsibility for the shelves allocated to them. This will also include expiry date management, dormant stock, soon to expire, etc.
  • Mixed bins in the receiving area need to be attended to on a daily basis to ensure there are no overstocked items in the bins.
  • The bins need to be empty and items replenished into the picking bins by the end of your shift on a daily basis.
  • Expiry dates should be checked before picking bins are replenished.
  • Bins need to be replenished on an on-going basis.
  • Expiry dates for all items in the fine-picking area should be checked upon replenishment of bins.
  • Any stock problems need to be reported to the line manager and escalated to the procurement department if needed.

Responsible to ensure that stock problems are addressed and that all TOF for the allocated shelve are done before cut-off and parcels sent out:

  • TOF are marked with the item not in bin and placed on the shelve in bulk area after being scanned on the system with Replenisher comment.
  • The Replenisher will react and fill the bin and scan the parcel out to and send to QA

Responsible to ensure that Stock Rotation SOP is followed by Replenisher:

  • Stock with the nearest expiry date to be placed first in the bin to be picked first. FEFO first then FIFO.

Responsible to ensure that Expiry Dates SOP is followed:

  • All expired or short dated stock to be removed and reported to housekeeping admin
  • Expiry dates need to be checked before bins are replenished. Any short-dated stock should immediately be reported to your line manager.
  • Stock already in bins need to be checked on a weekly basis for expiry dates. This will include short-dated and expired stock.
5. Bulk area
  • Unpacking original stock from supplier box into bulk bins

Responsible to ensure that Binning of Pre-packs is done every day:

  • Writing of label to identify the bulk bin on shelve
  • Binning of the item to the designated bin location
  • Ensuring the house keeping SOP is followed.
  • Keeping the picking bins clean and neat in shelves
  • Ensuring no stock is on the floor.
7 .Stock take
  • The counting of all the red bins
  • Red bins to be sealed by the counter with cable tie.
  • All bins must contain a barcode of the item it contains
  • Ensuring all of the stock is packed away and binned accordingly
8 .Ad Hoc Task
  • Complete all ad hoc tasks that are given ensuring that it is completed In the time requirement that was given.
  • Sending of members to assist in department where assistance is required.
  • Stock Take and Stock Take Preparation
