Job summary

Pick n Pay Retailers in South Africa seeks an Inventory Controller to maintain stock ledger integrity and support stock counts across stores.

Role requires Grade 12, 2–3 years retail experience, and strong English communication; candidate must pass assessments and competency-based interviews, with willingness to transfer between stores.

Qualifications

• Must be flexible and willing to be transferred between stores.

Responsibilities

• Ensures stock count plan executed - National, Divisional and Ad Hoc counts.
• Ensures Exit management control.
• Ensures Dormancy, Obsolesce and Overstock controls.
• Analyses discrepancies in postings and advise Store management on corrective actions to follow.
• Ensures stock movement processes are followed e.g. Shop Use, RTC, Inter department transfers and Waste.
• Prints / Analyses daily & weekly stock reports e.g. In-store category review (Dormant – weekly), negative stock as a result of GapScan – daily.
• Confirms availability of stock by location for Dormant- / Obsolete – and Exit stocks.
• Reports deviations on merchandise standards /admin to Inventory manager.
• Reports non-compliance on Inventory movement process to Inventory manager e.g. inter department transfers, interbranch, waste.
