Job summary

Pick n Pay Retailers in South Africa is seeking a detail‑oriented team member to prepare or wrap products according to specifications, maintain hygiene and safe working standards in-store operations.

You will stack, merchandise, and price items, check labels and rotation, prevent wastage, and assist customers with their requests while upholding our service standards and policies. The role focuses on accuracy and reliability in daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 and ability to communicate in English.
• Computer literacy is advantageous.
• Customer-focused and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Stack and store products safely and neatly.
• Merchandise and price items according to standards.
• Check pricing accuracy on labels and random items.
• Check quality, rotate stock, remove expired stock.
• Maintain cold chain temperatures where applicable.
• Assist customers with requests and provide courteous service.
• Process customer orders following correct procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12
• Computer Literate – Advantageous

Key Responsibilities

• Stack and store products in a safe and tidy manner
• Merchandise products according to laid down standards
• Correctly price random weight/loose selling items
• Check correct pricing e.g. labels
• Check quality, rotate stock, remove expired stock
• Prevent wastage/shrinkage/damages
• Check temperatures/maintain the cold chain (if applicable)
• Adhere to and maintain security procedures
• Operate and clean equipment according to laid down standards
• Approach and advise customers on the product, listen to customers’ requests, provide the required product or services and handle customers in a courteous and business‑like manner
• Process all customer orders according the correct procedures and service standards
