Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineer in South Africa with 4+ years post-qualification experience to join our team. You will contribute to detailed designs including earthworks, water reticulation, pavement, and drainage, using Civil 3D and Revit, and support project teams through design development and site coordination.

This role emphasizes delivering safe, compliant civil engineering solutions, assessing risks, and collaborating with clients and contractors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years’ post qualification experience.
• Solid knowledge of Civil 3D, EPANET and SWMM.
• Experience in building services design (water supply, sewerage, stormwater, ducting, road layer works, pavements & bulk earthworks).
• Ability to lead small design projects and provide resource planning/timeframe estimates.
• B.Eng./BScEng Degree; M.Eng Degree advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed civil designs: bulk earthworks, water reticulation, pavement design, stormwater, sewerage, road geometry and cable ducts.
• Model civil engineering services in Civil 3D and Revit.
• Size equipment such as submersible pumps, interceptors and tanks; produce design drawings.
• Attend planning, design and site meetings; assist with bids and proposals.
