Job summary

AECOM in Cape Town invites an experienced engineer to join our global infrastructure team. You will coordinate small to mid-size projects, provide technical input, and develop designs using established procedures.

The role requires 8+ years in engineering, a BSc/BEng, and professional registration with ECSA; a MSc/MEng is preferred. You will mentor juniors and engage with clients to deliver cost-effective, high-quality solutions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years’ relevant experience after obtainment of qualification.
• Bachelor of Science or Engineering from an accredited University.
• Master of Science or Engineering preferred.
• Professionally registered as an Engineer with ECSA.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate small–mid-size project teams of discipline-led engineers.
• Provide specialised technical input into studies and design work and identify discrepancies.
• Develop design by gathering, correlating and analysing engineering data using established procedures and standards.
• Performs technical quality reviews of design calculations, BIM models and drawings.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to project delivery and cost control.
