Placements24 in Upington is seeking a competent Civil Engineer to lead water and sanitation projects, focusing on planning, design, and implementation of water supply networks, treatment plants, and wastewater systems.

You will work with a dedicated team, ensuring compliance with national standards, environmental regulations, and community needs, while contributing to essential infrastructure in the Northern Cape.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with Water/Sanitation specialization.
• Minimum 6 years in design and implementation of water and sanitation projects.
• Pr Eng registration is advantageous.
• Proficiency in hydraulic modeling software (EPANET, WaterGEMS) and design tools.
• Experience in project management and contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage water supply, distribution, and sewerage systems.
• Conduct hydraulic modeling and analysis for water and wastewater networks.
• Prepare technical specifications, drawings, and tender documentation.
• Oversee construction and commissioning of water and sanitation infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with national standards and environmental regulations for water and sanitation services.
• Collaborate with local authorities and stakeholders to address community needs.
