About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design calculations for various infrastructure components, including bridges, buildings, and industrial facilities.
• Develop detailed structural drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
• Ensure compliance with South African National Standards (SANS) and relevant building codes.
• Collaborate effectively with architects, project managers, and construction teams.
• Conduct site investigations and inspections to monitor construction quality and adherence to design.
• Review contractor submittals, shop drawings, and respond to site queries.
• Assess existing structures for rehabilitation or strengthening requirements.
• Utilise structural analysis software (e.g., Prokon, SAP2000, ETABS) proficiently.
• Contribute to the development of project proposals and technical documentation.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies in structural engineering.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering.
