Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proficient Civil Design Engineer to join their team in Benoni, Gauteng. This role focuses on the meticulous design and development of civil infrastructure, translating concepts into detailed technical plans and drawings.

You will collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to ensure compliant, safe, and timely delivery of roads, site development, water and wastewater systems, and land development projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• 5+ years of experience in civil engineering design roles.
• Pr.Eng. or C.Eng registration with ECSA preferred.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D.
• Strong understanding of land development, hydrology, and hydraulics.
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed engineering designs for infrastructure projects including roads and site development.
• Prepare comprehensive drawings, calculations, and specifications.
• Conduct site analyses, feasibility studies, and prepare technical reports.
• Coordinate with other disciplines, architects, and contractors for integrated delivery.
• Ensure designs comply with local and national regulations, codes, and standards.
• Review contractor submittals and respond to design queries during construction.
