Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a strategic Head of Risk Management to lead the enterprise-wide risk program in a fully remote capacity. You will identify, assess, and mitigate financial, operational, and strategic risks while advising the board on threats and opportunities.

You will build robust risk policies, guide a distributed risk team, and drive a culture of risk awareness across the organization.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or MBA in Finance, Risk Management, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in risk management within the financial services industry.
• Expertise in credit risk, market risk, operational risk, and compliance.
• Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage and inspire a remote team.
• Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities, suitable for executive-level interactions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the enterprise-wide risk management strategy and framework.
• Establish and maintain policies, procedures, and controls for risk identification, assessment, and mitigation.
• Lead and mentor the risk management team, fostering their professional development.
• Provide regular reports and recommendations on risk exposure to the executive leadership and board.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to risk management.
• Promote a strong risk-aware culture throughout the organization.
