Placements24 is seeking a Senior Risk Manager to lead and enhance the risk management framework within the insurance sector. This fully remote role allows you to operate from anywhere in South Africa, identifying and mitigating risks while safeguarding assets and reputation.

You will ensure regulatory compliance and drive enterprise-wide risk initiatives remotely. The ideal candidate has a master's degree and 6+ years of risk management experience, with strong analytical and strategic thinking

Qualifications

Master's degree in a relevant field and minimum of 6 years of risk management experience.
Strong understanding of risk management principles, methodologies, and regulatory frameworks.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
Proven ability to manage and lead risk initiatives effectively in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain the company's enterprise risk management (ERM) framework.
Identify, assess, and monitor key risks, including financial, operational, strategic, and compliance risks.
Design and implement risk mitigation strategies and controls to minimize potential losses.
Conduct regular risk assessments and audits, reporting findings and recommendations to senior management.
Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and best practices in risk management.
