Job summary

Phaki Personnel Management Services in Pretoria, Gauteng, seeks an experienced Chief Operating Officer to provide strategic leadership in designing and executing the Operations strategy, ensuring governance, financial discipline and delivery of key outputs.

The successful candidate will lead operations management and stakeholder relations, drive performance improvements, oversee resourcing and project delivery, and work closely with the executive team to realise the company’s mandate.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate Degree preferably at NQF level 9 (Masters level) in Leadership / Business Management.
• Degree in Engineering, Sciences, or related field preferably in STEM. Fifteen (15) years’ relevant work experience in business management.
• Five (5) years senior management experience.
• Five (05) years’ executive management experience.
• Proven track record in developing, negotiating and executing local / international strategies.
• Exposure and experience in Public Private Partnerships including project packaging, project financing and capital raising will be an added advantage.
• Execution and experience of managing institutional turnaround strategies.
• Excellent Project Management Skills including resourcing, innovation and culture change.

Our client seeks to employ an experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to provide strategic leadership in the design, resourcing, management, execution and monitoring of the Operations strategy in line with the company’s mandate and overall approved strategy, to ensure the execution of key deliverables to support the organisation in its execution functions, while promoting good governance and sound financial and business principles in support of the operating model.

Minimum requirements and experience:
